A Bay Area native and lifelong lover of video games and avid self-learner, Dawud’s journey into a digital creative began through working on films and modding games and later evolved into full game development. After years of independent study, he returned to school and earned a degree in Game Development and Multimedia Studies from the College of Marin.
With over ten years teaching experience, Dawud is driven by a deep commitment to mentorship and community engagement. He has led youth programs, tutored youth and adults in school and college environments, and worked with under-served communities in the Bay Area. He has recent began working on starting an indie game studio, FusionForge Productions.
Dawud believes in the transformative power of art, technology and storytelling. His work centers on empowering people from all walks of life with the tools to shape a brighter future.
